The Origins of Valentines Day

Valentines Day seems like a nice cheerful holiday where people tell each other how much they care for them. It's looks like a nice holiday but in reality, Valentines Day is a dark sinister holiday.

You see guys getting getting cards, chocolate, and flowers for their sweethearts and they don't realize they are being pulled into a trap. Apparently chocolate companies think they haven't made enough money on other holidays and think they need to make another holiday to sell. They know guys will need a last minute gift so they sell their chocolate or flowers or whatever. If guys don't get something for their honey, then they are in the dog house.

That is sad. Forcing another holiday on people so they can sell their stuff. You also never see the guy get a gift on this day, it's always the girl. This isn't Mothers Day! Valentines Day should go both ways!

And since when do you need a day to tell someone how much you care for them? Shouldn't that be all year? It's like saying, " I love you so much today, but not any other day because I never get you anything! Haha Happy Valentines Day!"

This dark day is really a day for hypocrites who don't really care for anyone else. A day created by greedy companies and business people.

Got a secret, can you keep it?

Pretty Little Liars is a book series turned amazing television show. The book/show focuses on secrets, lies, and betrayal. Set in Rosewood, Pennsylvania, you see the world through Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields, and Hanna Marin's point of view.

These four totally different girls were brught together in eighth grade by one girl- Alison DiLaurentis, the popular one and their clique leader. Together, they were inseparable- until Alison goes missing. A year after Ali's disappearance, it's still a mystery to the town and to the girls. They fell out of touch a while after Ali is gone, she was the one who made them friends after all.

That changes, of course. They are brought together again when an anonymous figures, who is called "A", starts contacting them. "A" texts the girls through an unknown number- threatening them with the secrets they've never dared tell anyone else besides Alison, who they told everything to. They believe it's actually Alison at first, but that was before her body was found. Someone else had found out their secrets.

"A" knows everything, and I mean everything. He/ she is always watching the girls. Whom "A" is, and what happened to Alison still remains a mystery, for the show is still in it's second season. Many who have read the series, have found out who A is in the books, but the producers of the show stated it will not end like the books had. Just remember, "Never trust a pretty girl with an ugly secret."

noodle apps

One day, while I was looking at the app store from apple, I found a whole bunch of noodle apps. So I clicked on it and found several apps. It was amazing. I did not know there was a such thing as noodle apps.

One noodle app is called Cup Noodle Timer. This noodle app is very self explanatory. All you have to do is set the timer and press go. The noodle timer will ring and your will have your noodles in no time. This app will cost nothing at all.

Another app is actually a recipe app called Noodle College: Ramen Noodle Cook Book. If you ever crave for noodles, this is the app for you. It is a book full of noodle recipes, mostly for college students. This noodle app is only for a high price of 1.99.

This app in my opinion is the funniest noodle app in the market. it is called the Noodle princess app. This app is about a classic fairy tale. It includes a noodle contest and whoever wins will get a crown of Macaroni. This is all I can say now. But, if you want to buy this weird app it is only for 3.99.

If you want to find more apps like these, you can go to the app store. I am positive, that you would be able to find interesting apps. As you can see, noodles can be apps too.

The West Memphis Three

In 1993, three boys: Steve Branch, Michael Moore, and Christopher Byers, were murdered in the Robin Hood Hills in West Memphis. Later, the West Memphis police department arrested 3 boys: Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jesse Misskelley who soon became known as the West Memphis 3.

And in 1996 HBO created a documentary called Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills which interviewed the three accused boys, the victims families, and the people involved in the case, such as the attorneys, and the ones working on what happened.
The producers of Paradise Lost then over the coarse of 18 years made Paradise Lost 2: Revelations and Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory. These films made a lot of impact not only in the case but in society.
People started to realize that these boys were innocent. Celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Natalie Maines, and Metallica started to speak publicly about the case. And really use their advantage to get these innocent men out of jail.
But all bad didn't come out of the citation. Damien Echols met his wife, Lorri Echols, and got married. And in August of 2011, 18 years in the penitentiary, Damien, Jason, and Jesse were free.
They entered an Alford pleas which made them say they were guilty even when innocent. Justice was not served and they will still try to clear their names but now they can do it outside jail.

Being your self or someone else (speak journal 3)

Ask yourself, what am I like am I being me or am I being someone or something else and if I want to be that thing or my own self? This is a good question to ask yourself so you as a person and as a human can be what you want to be.

I personally can relate to not being myself. The reason being is that I as myself can act as what I need to be or want to be. what I think most people do is act like some one they aren't so they can fit in or not stand out in the crowd. You can decide if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Why people act or be there self is because they don't care or they do care what others think about them.
The way they do care is if they are alright with it being them self and care about what others think of them. You can also decide if that's good or bad.

Gum

So there is a lot of talk about the whole chewing gum being good or bad for you and how chewing gum is just to get flavor out of it. In my opinion, I think chewing gum can be a good thing for you. I found a website called Chewing gum and read some interesting things about chewing gum.

Most people think that chewing gum is just used for its flavor and is only for teens. When in fact, chewing gum has dated back over 5 thousand years ago. A lot of people used chewing gum such as Yli-Li Finland. They used them for having antiseptic properties and other medical advantages.

However, we never knew if the gum could cure gum disease or not. But in present day, we have a more firm grasp on weather or not gum is good for you or not. Most gums are not good for you. But, some can actually help you as long as you use the right kind of sweetness.

Some of the good kinds are xylitol, and sorbitol. Xylitol sweet can help your teeth. As long as you use one of these kind of sweeteners, then chewing gum will be fine to chew. As you can see, chewing gum can also be very beneficial to you.
