My question on colleges and universities

I was wondering what is the difference between a college and a university. After doing about two minutes of research I found the answer to my amazing question. Colleges focus on some degrees in a specific area. You get a degree on that specific area. Universities are like a bunch of little colleges all put together in the same place. They offer a lot more degrees than a college does. You can get a degree on a lot more things in a there such as law or medicine. Universities are big while colleges are usually smaller. This could be different for some other countries though. Well I did learn the answer to a question that has been bugging me for a while that I have not bothered to find the answer to.

  1. Excellent work. Another writer had that same question. I've never really been able to articulate the difference between the two, other than that colleges are usually smaller, but your finding makes complete sense.
